The Homer Driggers Award

The winner of the Grand Champion Buck award on the first Saturday show of the Peach State Classic each year also receives the Homer Driggers Award.  This award was set up in memory of Homer not only because of his devotion to his bucks but also because of the impact that he made on the people that knew him.  The entire Driggers family is an integral part of the history of the Southern Pygmy Goat Club and their herdname, Rocky Acres, is seen in the pedigrees of a great many pygmy goats today.  Homer's lovely wife Betty,  their daughter Susan, and other members of the Driggers family attend the Peach State Classic each year to join with us in the presentation of this award which is truly cherished by each of its recipients.
